Q: What inspired you to start creating Notion templates and launch Productive Club?
A: I’ve always been passionate about finding ways to simplify tasks. When I discovered Notion, I saw its potential for organizing everything in my life. I began creating templates for my own use to solve problems, but soon realized these templates could help others too.
That’s when templates like Focus Mode and Second Brain came to life, and eventually, Productive Club. My mission is simple: help people work smarter, not harder, by providing powerful productivity tools.
Q: How do you approach the design and functionality of a new template, such as your popular “Second Brain”?
A: I keep them simple and functional. I think about what users truly need to stay organized and focus on making the design clean and easy to use.
I test every feature thoroughly, removing anything unnecessary. Functionality always comes first, and I stick to minimalist designs to avoid clutter.
Sometimes I delete the new feature if I don’t find it useful.
Q: What challenges do you face when developing templates aimed at simplifying productivity?
A: The biggest challenge is balancing simplicity with functionality.
I want to make it as valuable as I can with minimum features.
Some users want advanced features, while others prefer minimalism. It’s about finding that middle ground where the template is powerful but not overwhelming.
Q: What does a typical day in your life look like?
A: I am full-time engineering student, so it’s become challenging to manage both college and my startup.
I keep changing my schedule, but normally attend college 4 days and work on my startup 3 days a week.
Sometimes I wake up in the morning, attend college, and then work on my startup.
It’s keep changing.
Q: What trends in productivity and organization have influenced your template designs the most?
A: The rise of minimalism and the emphasis on focus and clarity have been key.
I’ve also noticed a growing demand for integrating task management and goal tracking into a single, seamless system.
Q: What is the most underrated productivity tool or feature that you think more people should use?
A: The “database relations” feature in Notion is incredibly powerful but often overlooked.
It can connect your tasks, notes, and goals, creating a fully integrated system.
Q: What advice would you give to someone looking to improve their productivity using Notion templates?
A: Start simple. Let’s be honest, Notion can feel overwhelming as a beginner.
I believe the best way to learn anything is by doing, so download any pre-built notion templates like Habit Tracker, ultimate Notes, etc. And then customize it as per your need.
Q: Can you share a template or setup in Notion that you’re particularly proud of?
A: I’m most proud of the Focus Mode template. It took a lot of effort to design, and it helps users activate a focused state and track time for tasks effectively. The simplicity and impact of this template make it something I’m really proud of, as it tackles the challenge of staying productive in a distraction-filled world.
Q: How do you stay inspired and come up with new ideas for templates?
A: I find new ideas for templates by listening to customer feedback, observing common productivity struggles, and experimenting with my own systems. Many of my best ideas come from solving real-life problems that I or others face. This process helps me create practical and useful templates that address real needs.
Q: What’s your favorite way to relax or destress?
A: After a busy day, I like to relax by going for a walk or spending time with friends. It helps me clear my mind and recharge so I can stay productive and focused for the next day.
Q: Can you share a goal or dream that you’re currently pursuing?
A: My biggest goal right now is to grow the Productive Club into a global community for productivity enthusiasts.
I aim to expand my Notion templates into fully developed systems tailored for businesses, helping people everywhere streamline their workflows and enhance both their professional and personal lives.
